Gunshot

May 6, 2026 Comments Off on Gunshot Comics, Fiction, Issue 11, Visual Arts  Like

Two panels, each depicting a different person. The person in the left panel is in light and is pointing a gun forward, the person in the right is in shadow. Above the two panels is the title GUNSHOT in graffiti style lettering.

Nick Todd

Panel 1: A shadowy figure is opening a door.

Panel 2: A hand is shown clasping a gun in a coat pocket.

Panel 3: The figure from panel one enters an office space with a desk and a person in shadow sitting on the other side. There are file cabinets on the left side.
Panel 1: Figure one points the gun across the room at the seated figure, who is smoking a cigarette. There is a corkboard in the background with a suggestion of photos linked together with string.

Panel 2: First figure, now lit up, head covered with a hood. His mouth is open in an angry shout.

Panel 3: Second figure looks across the desk stoically. He is mostly in shadow with a line of light down his face.

Panel 3: The second figure puts out his cigarette in an ashtray. He is holding a file folder.

Panel 4: The file folder is placed on a chair in front of the first figure who scowls down at it.
Panel 1: The first figure reaches down for the file folder.

Panel 2: He reads the file, face still in a scowl.

Panel 3: His face softens and drops.

Panel 4: The figure drops the contents of the file on the floor.

Panel 5: He sits down in a chair and covers his face with his hand.
Panel 1: A bottle pours liquid into a glass.

Panel 2: The second figure holds the glass.

Panel 3: The first figure looks up at the second figure.

Panel 4: The glass is offered to the first figure.

Panel 5: The first figure drinks the liquid in the glass.
The panels have gotten much darker with only a small ring of light around the first figure.

Panel 1: He sits, looking defeated.

Panel 2: He puts his face in his hands.

Panel 3: He holds the gun parallel to his chest.

Panel 4: The figure points the gun at his own head, eyes closed, tears falling from his eyes.
