To resist is first nature for me. See, I was born to a woman whose insistence on me becoming her clone felt so imposing that I created my own defense and gave it a name.
Oppositional. Defiance. Disorder. Turns out it already existed. Always late to the game. No shame—just a result of being razed by two personalities with Narcissistic tendencies—one fueled by rage, the other, cocaine. They paved the way for my own collection of disorders and blame.
…
There’s too much disorder in this world to resist—social inequity, the age-old patriarchy, tech bros, Influencers, and the Order of the Oligarchy. Resist those who would usher us back to the dark ages while they strip away our values and education. Resist the dumbing down of the supposed greatest nation, and those who would impose their will on the vulnerable faces.
Resistance to logic, science, and empathy would be a crime if I were in charge of a new world. My utopian society would be much like our own, but politicians would be peer-reviewed experts in the positions they hold. Pushing false information would be a capital crime—punishable by your choice of education or death. A sign to resist all temptation to sympathize with ignorance. Resist it with equal and opposite reactional forces, like an eye for an eye – and by the by, resist the fucking A.I.! Find other ways to save time, but don’t let them tell you five days a week is the only solution. They’re lying.
Resist the urge to lash out at the ignorant. But it’s your family! Do they mean the emotional indigents that witnessed the toxic persistent existence I’ve lived? The one that left my brain resistant to the truth about the downward twisting negativity flowing through my veins by way of our beloved DNA.? No thanks. Resistance is only futile when you sleep through it, so wake up and get started!
Resist the status quo, then resist the urge to ever stop resisting.
Feral is righteous.
There is more work to be done.
