By Andrey Goubanov
I came up to a maple tree
To admire its reddish crown,
The bushy thickness of it
—I said “hi” to Mr. Blue Sky.
Though before paying my respects
To that nature force’s creation,
There was another precious tree
—To it I slowly approached.
Golden leaves, those ingots of life,
Greenish greatness came in before.
Gone forever, nature’s alchemy
Gifted this tree golden leaves.
I hugged gently, firmly that tree
To prolong this wonderful moment,
Then I whispered my final “goodbye”
—I met trees, I met Mr. Blue Sky.
