God doesn’t watch me
No eyes
God doesn’t hear me
No ears
God doesn’t speak to me
No tongue

Not a soul is with me
Yet I feel them
Surrounding me
Touching me with spindly fingers
Looking at me with beady eyes like ripe berries
They consume me
Chew me
Leave my corpse in the dirt
To be eaten by maggots

I do not watch
No eyes
I do not hear
No ears
I do not speak
No tongue
