Dyad
By Sam Sweikata
You are the sunrise.
The daylight that breaks
Over the horizon,
Dancing into tomorrow.
You are the moon.
Lighting the path
Of the less traveled,
A force of mystery.
You are the push of the
Sand against the ocean.
The sails of a ship
Racing to the coast.
You are the pull of the
Waves on the sandy shore
A solid hull, decorated
With jewels of the sea.
Daybreak after the storm,
The warmth of a new day,
An open field for us to play.
Follow the sound of excitement.
Shadows cast on daisies,
Wind like a cool embrace
Of looking glass–face to face.
All within a peaceful silence.
El Sol, he lies next to me in the sky.
His biological astronomy,
I hold it in handfuls.
My solar eclipse.
La Luna, is still in my arms.
Her pelagic and enigmatic aura,
I devour her essence.
My full moon.
