Gail Mooney is a beloved Professor of Creative Writing who is retiring this year, after a long and remarkable career. She was instrumental in helping establish the Creative Writing Concentration here at Middlesex Community College, and has mentored many of our finest students as they went out into the world. This first issue of Dead River Review is dedicated in her honor, with much love and respect from her colleagues and current and former students.
